Amy comes to Cherish Center with a history of partnering to develop family-centered programs. She has worked on state-wide initiatives including Parent Partners and Family Team Decision Making and has started Parents as Teachers and Parent Cafe programs in several Iowa communities. She holds various certifications, including National Family Support Specialist and Parents as Teachers Educator. For Amy, life is about growing healthy relationships and melding your past and present with your future. She’s committed to modeling the joy and hope of a shared journey for the families she works with and for volunteers, mentors, and upcoming generations of helping professionals.
In her spare time, you’ll find Amy outside enjoying a good run, planting beautiful flowers, playing with her grandkids, being a “behind the scenes worker” in the community, or praying for just about anyone that mentions they need prayer.
